Chargeable What is Chargeable Leave?

Chargeable leave refers to the leave time (vacation days) that is deducted from a service member's accumulated leave balance.

Active duty service members accrue 2.5 days of leave per month, totaling 30 days per year. When a service member takes leave, it's subtracted from this balance, hence the term "chargeable"

Types of Chargeable Leave

Annual Leave

Sick Leave

Emergency Leave

Military Leave (when chargeable):

While some military leave is non-chargeable (like convalescent leave), other types like ordinary leave during active duty, are chargeable against the service member's leave balance.
